Craft beer is thriving in middle GA. If you’re like me you couldn’t be happier. Happy not just for the craft beer industry but also because of what it means for local businesses. Entrepreneurs are finding new and interesting ways to grow and create jobs in our city. Historic Ingleside Village has long been home to many such local businesses. Society Garden will be the newest addition to the historic village community and I for one can’t wait! While local favorites like Macon Beer Company have their own gardens, Society Garden will be the first outdoor beer garden with something for the whole family.
The beer garden will have eight beer taps pouring up your favorite local brews. While they won’t serve much in the way of food they will have ice cream, shaved ice, and popcorn. You certainly won’t go hungry though. Society Garden plans to bring in food trucks from time to time and also encourages patrons to check out the local eateries.
One of the best-known spots is Ingleside Village Pizza which has been serving up pizzas for over 25 years! When it turns colder Society Garden will have us covered with hot chocolate and other warm beverages. Cider maybe? Also, if anyone is wondering what to do for my birthday they will be renting out the venue for private events as well!
Please share and get the word out. I hope to help small businesses like this make a huge impact on our community. I can’t wait until September when Society Garden opens their doors. I hope to see you at the grand opening first week in October! Come up and say hi. Let’s have a beer – or two!
